Surrounded by Russian enemies, he is on his own. He has to outsmart, outfight, and outrun them to survive. It will take all of his survival skills and training as a SEAL to survive and get revenge.

Thor makes you feel Harvath’s pain, exhaustion, and sense of urgency. Everything moves at a breakneck speed. If you think Harvath couldn’t possibly be in any more danger, he is – and Thor makes it worse for him with every page turn.

Backlash is an excellent action novel with a well-developed plot and exciting scenes. It is for readers who love thrillers with lots of nonstop action, great characters, and a page-turner plot.

2. Full Black

This time, Harvath’s mission is to stop a terrorist group from destroying the United States.

Scot Harvath is introduced as a covert counterterrorism operative who launched an audacious plan to infiltrate terrorists’ networks while there was also another group sent out for assassination in California.

Harvath is left with no other choice but to go full black to save America. But, unfortunately, he can’t trust anyone and operates in complete secrecy.

Overall, Full Black is an intense and frightening thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. It is Brad Thor’s most riveting novel to date.

3. Black Ice

The twenty books in his Scot Harvath series, Brad Thor’s Black Ice, is a gripping read that will keep you up all night.

The novel begins with Harvath on vacation in Norway, enjoying life after leaving behind the world of espionage for good. He has finally found peace and tranquility away from it all.

That is until he sees someone who shouldn’t be alive. Then, the question remains: what should he do? Should he ignore him or try to help? More evidence points to something big happening in the Arctic region as time goes on.

4. The First Commandment

In The First Commandment, Thor introduces a new character: the President of the United States.

When a radical group known as The Hand of God begins attacking America, the President turns to Scot Harvath for help.

The problem is that this group is incredibly well funded and well organized, making them difficult to stop. With the President’s life on the line, Harvath knows he must do whatever it takes to protect him.

This book is thrilling and fast-paced, with nonstop action from beginning to end. Readers will be captivated by the characters and the story, eager to discover what happens next.

5. The Last Patriot

This is a thriller of political and religious terrorism.

Scot Harvath is in Paris when he witnesses a bombing about to happen. He saves the intended victim that just so happens to be a Jefferson scholar. But, unfortunately, this event draws him into an international conspiracy where he needs to look for clues and figure out what is going on.

This book is an excellent thriller and will keep you on the edge of your seat while you read it. However, due to the anti-Muslim bigotry present, some people may not enjoy it as much as other Thrillers.

Despite this flaw, The Last Patriot is a tale of spies and terrorists, corruption and fanaticism, infidels (and, yes, there are plenty), history, mystery, and murder–all the ingredients that make Brad Thor one of today’s most celebrated thrillers writers.

6. The Lions of Lucerne

The President of the United States is kidnapped, and thirty Secret Service agents are killed on a ski slope. Scot Harvath is on the run and working to clear his name after being framed for murder.

Harvath sets out to find the people responsible. He is on his way to Switzerland to find the Lions of Lucerne, a mysterious cell of mercenaries behind the kidnapping of the President of the United States. With steadfast determination, he sets out to stop them and a shadowy coalition that wants him dead before they can do anything else.

The book has some shortcomings, such as clichéd language and cartoonish scenes, but they do not ruin the story. Scot Harvath is an interesting and likable character, and the story is full of excitement and suspense.

7. Takedown

In Brad Thor’s Takedown, the tables have turned on America as al-Qaeda launches a devastating attack on the 4th of July weekend. Thousands are killed, the President’s daughter is seriously injured, and New York City is in ruins.

Scot Harvath is back, and he’s not going to let al-Qaeda get away with this. He leads a team of U.S. agents on a deadly chase through the city streets and subways as they try to hunt down one of al-Qaeda’s top operatives, Abdul Ali.

While Thor paints a dark picture of what America would be without the rule of law, he also creates an exciting story that will keep you up all night reading it. The problem people have had with this book is that it is blatantly anti-Muslim. However, if you can overlook that, it is an excellent thriller.

8. Hidden Order

The most secretive organization in America is the focus of Hidden Order.

In the book, Scot Harvath chases five candidates who go missing. The chase becomes a spectacle, with every indicator suggesting that the plot has its roots in a shadowy American cabal founded in the 1700s. With a small band of associates, Harvath must untangle a web of conspiracy centuries-old to head off the most significant threat America has seen. 

Brad Thor did a lot of research for this book, and it shows. He paints a picture of America that is both frightening and believable.

9. Foreign Influence

Foreign influence is the ninth book in the Scot Harvath series. After a bus full of Americans is blown up in Rome, Scot Harvath travels to Europe to track down a man known as the Troll. A Chicago cop identifies a Middle Eastern-looking man who ran down a woman with his cab. He uncovers a plot against civilian targets in Chicago.

Harvath must hunt down the Troll and take care of this new attack.

The book follows these plots as they intersect to prevent one of the most horrific attacks on American soil.

10. State of the Union

Scot Harvath is a hero with superhuman abilities. The Russians hide 19 suitcase nuclear devices across America, and the President is ordered to make America withdraw from the world and give up its seat in the United Nations. The sleeper agents will set off the nukes if the President fails to comply.

Scot Harvath is the only one who can stop them.

This book is the third in the series, and it brings together many of the elements that fans love about Brad Thor. It has an action-packed plot, a hero with superhuman abilities, and a few scenes of violence. This book is ideal for those who like political thrillers and those who enjoy reading about superheroes.
