He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on April 6th, 1966. He attended St. Thomas Academy high school, graduating at the top of his class. Flynn went on to attend the University of St. Thomas, graduating in 1988 with a degree in business administration.

Mitch Rapp

Mitch Rapp is a fictional character and the protagonist of a series of books by Vince Flynn. He begins as an inexperienced CIA operative who becomes an experienced killer instead of having a family life because he could not afford it due to government pay. However, this changes when he falls in love with Anna Rielly, a journalist he eventually marries and has three children.

The series follows Rapp as he tries to stop terrorist threats to the United States, often with the aid of other characters.

Vince Flynn has written fourteen novels, including “American Assassin”, “Consent to Kill”, “Protect and Defend”.

Kyle Mills is the Mitch Rapp author after Vince Flynn’s death in 2013, and he continues to write more books for this series.

Mitch Rapp is praised for its fast-paced action scenes and realistic focus on politics and the war on terror.

However, some critics claim that Rapp’s character is inconsistent throughout the series, as he becomes more like a superhero than the everyman who first appears in Flynn’s novels.

Mitch Rapp has become an iconic spy archetype, and thus many authors have looked to his character for inspiration when creating their special agents.

Vince Flynn, who died of prostate cancer in 2013, was 47 years old.

American Assassin (2010)

The first book in the Mitch Rapp series chronologically by Vince Flynn is titled “American Assassin”. It follows a young man named Mitch Rapp joining the CIA to hunt down the people responsible for killing his girlfriend during a terror attack at an American beach resort.

The story continues with him joining forces with Cold War veteran Stan Hurley to stop an anarchist group from continuing its attacks against America by any means necessary. This story claims that Rapp begins as an inexperienced CIA operative who becomes an experienced killer instead of having a family life because he could not afford it with the government pay he is given.

However, this changes when Rapp falls in love with Anna Rielly, introduced in Transfer of Power (1999), a journalist who he eventually marries and has three children.

Rapp’s story continues as his CIA career becomes more dangerous, more violent, and evolves into preventing terrorist attacks against America.

Consent To Kill (2005)

Consent to Kill is the seventh book in the Mitch Rapp series written by Vince Flynn. It follows a story where Rapp tries to stop an assassin who works for a Middle Eastern revenge group, but he wants his next target to be the President of the United States.

Rapp tries to find out who is trying to assassinate the President and why, before another attempt can be made on the President’s life.

This story features twists and turns that keep readers engaged, and Rapp faces complex moral conflicts about what he thinks is right and wrong.

The author writes this novel in such a way where Rapp comes across as more human than before, despite his violent career as a CIA secret agent.
