About David Baldacci
David Baldacci is an American writer of the thriller genre.
David Baldacci was born on August 5, 1960, in Richmond, Virginia, United States. He was a lawyer before he became a full-time writer.
David Baldacci has written over 40 books, including horror fiction, fantasy fiction, and traditional legal thrillers. His novels are known for their twists and surprises, along with their international intrigue plots. He is one of the world’s most popular thriller writers; his books have been translated into dozens of languages and adapted to film or television.
His first novel, Absolute Power, was published in 1996. The story was about a master thief who steals from the rich and powerful, only to find himself pursued by the President of the United States. The book was adapted to film in 1997 and starred Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman.
Baldacci is perhaps best known for his novels featuring characters King and Maxwell. The pair are former Secret Service agents who now operate as private investigators. The series was adapted into a TV series.
Baldacci is also the author of the Will Robie series, which follows an assassin working for the U.S. government.
