This non-fiction book is essentially a travelogue about Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, and Hawaii. Itas also the story of the authoras 23,000-mile, forty-day odyssey from Iran when the Ayatollah Khomeini Islamic Revolution prevented him from returning to his year-long home in Tehran while on vacation in Southeast Asia. The elements of history and culture of the regions visited, and many personal anecdotes, should provide readers with entertainment and present an educational perspective. A chapter of the book is dedicated to each location the author visited. This is a sequel to Bill Burkeas previous book, Adventures in the Middle East, Near East, and North Africa (PublishAmerica, 2005), which describes his travels in those areas as well as living under Martial Law in Iran.
