Hellblazer, also known as John Constantine: Hellblazer, is a contemporary horror comic book series published by DC Comics. It has been under the Vertigo imprint since issue #63, the month the imprint was introduced. Its central character is the streetwise magician John Constantine. It has been published continuously since January 1988, and is Vertigo's longest running title, the only remaining publication from the imprint's launch.
Hellblazer's collection of trade paperbacks is in a rough order as some issues haven't been included or some are out of order (eg The Family Man has 23-24 and 28-33, while Rare Cuts has 11, 25–26, 35, 56, and 84). Also, some stories are collected only in non-english editions, like the Spanish and Italians series "Hellblazer por autor" (Hellblazer by Author).
In 2011 DC/Vertigo began releasing new edition trades. These new volumes were larger, numbered numerically and contained every issue in chronological order which the previous editions skipped or had collected separately. Many of the new editions contain different issues from the originals.
