Whitley Strieber Books Overview

Transformation

On December 26, 1985, at a secluded cabin in upstate New York, Whitley Strieber went siding with his wife and son, ate Christmas dinner leftovers, and went to bed early. Six hours later, he found himself suddenly awake…
and forever changed. Thus begins the most astonishing true life odyssey ever recorded one man’s riveting account of his extraordinary experiences with visitors from’elsewhere’…
how they found him, where they took him, what they did to him and why…
Believe it. Or don’t believe it. But read it for this gripping story will move you like no other…
will fascinate you, terrify you, and alter the way you experience your world.

Confirmation

This book is at once a journey of scientific discovery and the story of the personal struggle Whitley Strieber has fought since he had an apparent close encounter in 1985, which he recounted in Communion: A True Story. He has been criticized for creating folklore; he has been called insane, labeled a liar and a cult leader. Naturally, he wants to correct the record. But more than that, he has come to feel certain that something truly earthshaking is happening, something far stranger, far more incredible than anyone suspected, which has made mankind vulnerable. To change all this, what he’s need is physical proof. He has it, and this book is the story of how he got it and what it is. Strieber first reviews all the evidence for UFOs including the remarkably dramatic and repeated sightings over Mexico city filmed by so many people as well as the testimony thousands have given about their close encounter experiences, before turning to shocking new physical evidence: five implants surgically removed under controlled and documented conditions from the bodies of people who have reported contact with aliens. The study of these ‘implants’ what they are made of, how they function, and what their ultimate purpose is holds the final answers to this whole puzzle. In addition, in a remarkable appendix, Monsignor Corrado Balducci of the Congregation of the Evangelization of Peoples and Propagation of the Faith discusses the perspective of the Catholic Church on the whole matter of alien contact and what it means within a religious perspective.

Solving the Communion Enigma

The bestselling author probes the ultimate significance behind today’s increasing reports of UFOs, alien abductions, crop circles, and other unexplained phenomena and what they mean for humanity’s immediate future. In 1987 writer Whitley Strieber exposed the world to the truth about alien abduction in his landmark memoir, Communion. For the first time in years, Strieber revisits his encounter with alien intelligences but now dramatically widens his search to explore how ‘the visitors’ connect with today’s persistent and globe spanning reports of anomalous phenomena, such as crop circles, cattle mutilations, UFO sightings, alien abductions, near death experiences, close encounters, and unexplained bodily implants. In his magisterial style, Strieber contextualizes these bizarre and unsettling reports with his own childhood memories of strange schools, sinister experiments, and family secrets. In exploring today’s most convincing cases of unexplained phenomena, Strieber reasons that they are not unrelated events. Nor are they the result of mass delusion. In some of his most persuasive writing, Strieber argues that the wave of mysterious episodes marks a transition that humanity is undergoing right now. Against all conscious understanding, we are experiencing a broadened awareness of dimensions of reality that exist beyond our current perceptions.

And what’s more, he knows his own…
it’s Miriam Blaylock. Elusive and toxic, she has escaped his complex network of hunters for years. Seductive and cunning, she has become his obsession.

And now each has set a trap for the other.

Lilith’s Dream

Identified in Hebrew lore as Adam’s original wife who left him before Eve even existed Lilith was created out of dust, separate and equal to Adam. Living along the shores of the Red Sea, it is said, she consorted with monsters, bore demons and drank the blood of Abel. The truth of the matter however, is that Lilith was no one’s creation. Indeed, Lilith created us out of the stock of primitive hominids that roamed the earth thirty thousand years ago. Now Lilith feels the familiar hunger, the gnawing agonizing hunger that brought her species to this world in the first place the hunger for blood. Half a world away, Paul Ward experiences an insatiable hunger of his own: a hunger to hunt and kill. Paul is the quietly courageous leader of the world’s lone team of vampire hunters. He and his co slayers have just achieved their ultimate goal: to sterilise the planet of vampires. When Lilith and Paul collide in a shattering climax, theirs will be a battle not just for the future of mankind, but also for the body and soul of Paul’s teenage son, Ian. For Ian’s mother is none other than Whitley Strieber’s infamous and eternal hero*ine, Miriam Blaylock.

Climatologist Jack Hall tried to warn people of the approaching peril but it may already be too late for any hope of survival. The Coming Global Superstorm (With: )

Killer tornadoes. Violent tropical storms. Devastating temperatures. Are these just the prelude to an unprecedented environmental disaster in our near future? Two of America’s leading investigators of unexplained phenomena Art Bell, the top rated late night radio talk show host, and Whitley Strieber, No. 1 ‘New York Times’ bestselling author of ‘Communion’ and the legendary ‘Nature’s End’ have made a shocking discovery based on years of research with top scientists and archaeologists from around the world. Now, they reveal what powerful interests are trying to keep hidden: rapid changes in the atmosphere caused by greenhouse gases have set humanity on an incredibly dangerous course toward a catastrophic change in climate in the immediate future. It will begin with a massive, unprecedented storm that will devastate the Northern Hemisphere. This will be followed by floods unlike anything ever seen before or perhaps a new Ice Age. They also unearth evidence that this has happened in the past in fact, that it has occurred regularly throughout geologic history, but so infrequently that our only record of the last such storm is contained in ancient myths and flood legends. From El Nino to the African droughts, to the shrinking of the polar ice caps, Bell and Strieber identify the warning signs to those willing to see. They point out that the Earth’s regulatory system is like a rubber band: you can stretch it just so far before it snaps back with a vengeance. Since 1995, each successive year has set new records for violent weather. In 1999 a major climatological study predicted that the Earth will soon be warmer than it has been in millions of years. Bell andStrieber tell us why they believe a rebound is imminent a rapid and violent cooling that will cover the Northern Hemisphere in a sheath of choking ice and snow. But it’s not too late to reverse our destiny. No mere harbinger of an inevitable doomsday, ‘The Coming Global Superstorm’ is instead a spirited call to action that offers a wealth of viable solutions to this mammoth challenge to humankind. Through a careful and impressively researched dissection of the myths and legends of ancient cultures and an insightful examination of the best of modern environmental science, Bell and Strieber guide us on an intellectual journey as dark as the murky origins of man and as bright as the promise of an interstellar future.
