Stephen Goldin Books Overview

Imperial Stars

Classic space opera adventure, Book 1 in the ‘Family D’Alembert’ series. The Empire of Earth, spanning more than a thousand solar systems, is threatened by a conspiracy from within. Now, with more than three quarters of the Galaxy ready to fall into enemy hands, the Empire is forced to call on its top secret weapon: the renowned Circus of the Galaxy featuring the d’Alembert family, a clan of circus performers with uncanny abilities. But even these super agents may not be in time to save the Empire.

The Clockwork Traitor

Classic space opera adventure, Book 3 in the ‘Family D’Alembert’ series. By law, Princess Edna, heir to the interstellar Empire of Earth, must marry a commoner. But as she travels through her domain, word comes of a mysterious threat to her succession. It’s up to Jules and Yvette d’Alembert and their family of circus performers, all agents of the Empire, to uncover this bizarre plot before it can wreak havoc for all of humanity.

Shrine of the Desert Mage

The Parsina Saga is an exciting, romantic Arabian Nights fantasy adventure. In Volume I, we meet Jafar al-Sharif, a down-on-his-luck storyteller, and his daughter Selima as they travel from a prison cell within the Holy City to a battle against the world’s mightiest wizard, and join forces with a prince in an effort to unite the pieces of the famed Crystal of Oromasd and save the world from the triumph of the evil demon king.

The Storyteller and the Jann

The Parsina Saga is an exciting, romantic Arabian Nights fantasy adventure. In Volume II, the storyteller Jafar al-Sharif must impersonate a mighty wizard as he joins forces with disinherited Prince Ahmad. They must escape from the powerful king of an underground realm and defeat an army of re-animated corpses in their quest to gather the pieces of the fabled Crystal of Oromasd and bring peace to the world of Parsina.

Treachery of the Demon King

As the empire of evil sweeps across the land, the fate of Parsina rests on Jafar al Sharif, the storyteller impersonating a wizard, and the exiled Prince Ahmad from the holy city of Ravan. But peril continues to dog their footsteps on the way to Mount Denavan and the final piece of the Crystal of Oromasd. They must confront the dangers of a mysterious island, the City of Faces, and the dragon demon who guards the fourth piece of the crystal. And even these threats pale before the betrayal by a trusted member of their company while within the heart of the dark enemy, Aeshma, king of the daevas, plots treachery against his own master to unleash an unimaginable tide of evil to engulf the world and destroy mankind. Treachery of the Demon King is the long awaited conclusion to Stephen Goldin’s Parsina Saga, a sweeping epic across an Arabian Nights world of imagination and wonder.

Jade Darcy and the Affair of Honor

Feverishly trying to eradicate memories of her past, Jade Darcy starts a new life for herself on Cablans, a society several light years away from her native Earth. After her acceptance into the alien society, Jade finds employment as a bouncer at Rix’s Place, an alien bar and restaurant. As a guardian of order and justice, Jade leads a great life on Cablans until the unexpected arrival of another human. Jade chooses not to contend with the past she has worked so hard to obliterate. She prefers a terrifying death to a return to her Earthling past. And so, Jade takes on the job of launching an attack against the most dangerous group in the galaxy. Hers is far more than a suicide mission; it has the potential to destroy not only her but the whole galaxy.

Jade Darcy and the Zen Pirates

At first, expecting her new job to be easy, Jade Darcy is oblivious to the religious strife wracking the world of Restappa. Jade and Megan Cafferty, her employer, discover that the Restappans are in the process of electing a new religious leader. During this process, the candidates hatch plots against anyone they see as a danger to their victory. Each one of them will go to any extreme, even murder, to assure his election as Restappa’s religious leader. Jade and Megan are pegged as threats that must be eliminated. And Jade has the difficult task of restoring order to Restappa as well as protecting her own life.

Traitors’ World

Space pirates harass interstellar shipping. On the frozen world of Gulag–where, for centuries, the Empire’s worst traitors have been exiled–dangerous plots are hatching. Time is running out for agents of the Imperial Special Investigation Service to save the Empire from the most serious revolt in its centuries-long history.

The Eternity Brigade

Hawker was a good soldier so good, in fact, that the Army asked him and his buddies to sign on for an extended hitch. What they couldn’t know was that the extension would last forever. Century after century, war after war, Hawker and his comrades were resurrected over and over to fight on alien planets with ever more advanced weapons. The reasons for the wars were incomprehensible, but that didn’t matter. All that counted was the fighting itself. From incarnation through incarnation, one goal remained in Hawker’s mind. Somewhere, somehow, there had to be a way out of the loop. And he was determined to find it. This is a modern revision of a classic science fiction novel.

Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt is a romantic, sexy space adventure about a race across the galaxy. Life itself is on the line as the crew of the Honey B, the galaxy’s most hedonistic space yacht, travel from planet to planet searching for exotic treasures and trying to beat their competitors to the finish line.

Polly!

‘Blasphemous…
highly offensive’…
and VERY funny! Herodotus Shapiro has had an unbelievably bad week. His wife left him. The IRS is after him for thousands of dollars. His home/bookstore burned down. On his way to take refuge at his brother’s place, he got a speeding ticket. And now his car has broken down in the middle of the desert in front of a large mansion. What more can go wrong? But now his world takes a turn for the weird. The mansion has a snowman on the front lawn–in the desert, in July. The house, which is bigger on the inside than on the outside, is owned by Polly, the most preternaturally beautiful young woman he’s ever met. Polly is an acrobat, a gourmet chef, a psychologist, an international financial consultant, a physicist and a woman of who-knows how many other incredible talents. She has an unbelievable library, an art collection of all the world’s great masterpieces, and a print of a previously unknown Marx Brothers film. Her toilet paper is actually silk. And she seems to have some mysterious plans for him…
