I enjoyed this story. AlTonya did a great job of moving the characters along as they dealt with their personal hang ups. As with most romances there will be a happy ending and this one doesn't disappoint the reader. The only set back for me is that the title doesn't fit the story. I think it should have been, Somewhere Between Love, Trust & The Truth.

Let me say that I liked the connection between Cortez and Julia I just didn't like the story line. What woman in her right mind packs up and leaves the man she loves at the drop of the dime because the family don't like her? I didn't like that. It sounds like she has no staying power and that's ridiculous. Then she is all successful in LA but has to kiss Cortez's behind to get further up the ladder. So was she just using him? I didn't like her cockiness....I would have enjoyed her being taken down a peg or two. I also didn't like him begging for another chance when she was in the wrong. In the beginning of the book they sounded like they were so in love and that's the best part of this story line.

This book I did not like. The characters were avoiding subjects that should have just been said from the beginning, It lasted to long for issues about nothing.

AlTonya Washington books are good to read. They seem to pretty much run in the same pattern. I will continue to read more of her books.

This was the worst book by this author. Manipulative characters who were all about the sex. Poorly told story and unbelievable. Shame as I'm a fan of her work. Torn between a one or two star.
