It was adapted from her notes about her extensive travel around England. She travelled around England on horseback from the 1680s to the early 1700s. During this time, England was still mostly countryside uninhibited by roads. Editied and with an introduction by Christopher Morris, a historian and fellow of King's College, Cambridge. With a foreward by G M Trevelyan, likewise a historian, and a fellow of Trinity College Cambridge. With an ink inscription from prior owner to the recto of the front endpaper, ' K M Hobb, April 23rd 1948'. Condition: In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Very light rubbing to the rear board. Light spotting to the top edge. Minor offsetting to the recto of the front endpaper.
