Title page dated 1853, no date on copyright page. 504 pages. In good condition. Some wear to cover, particularly along edges, at head and foot of spine, and at corners where cloth is split, exposing boards beneath. Vertical crack to cloth down middle of spine. Cloth at head and foot of spine missing. Cloth on spine is deeply toned- appears brown. Lettering remains fairly bright. Blind-stamping is lovely. Binding is secure. Pages quite toned, pages themselves less so. Pages are otherwise mostly clean, with the occasional light stain or spot from age. Overall this copy is sturdy and fairly well-preserved.
