Book First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Edition with Number Line to 1. It appears that this will be the only signed copy of Detroit Across Three Centuries currently for sale anywhere on the Internet. A fact that only adds to the appeal of this rather huge undertaking. This is the kind of book that someone takes years to research and write. It runs 304 pages. It is full of fascinating information and great photographs. Its appeal should carry beyond Michigan. The condition of this book shouldn't disappoint. Take a look at the photographs. The black covers are spotless and unworn. That includes the corners and spine ends. The gilt lettering on the spine is very bright and clear. This large book was produced with care. It is very solidly bound. The pages are very bright and clean. I didn't see any soiling. The author has penned his name on the title page. There is no inscription. There is no other writing on any other page in the book. There are no markings. A terrific looking book. The dust jacket is Not clipped. It is not soiled. There is some of that clouding on the back cover which you often see on black covers. The back of the dust jacket also has an ISBN sticker which you can peel off if you choose. The back also has two sharp scratches. There isn't any other wear. There aren't any tears. The spine looks great. The flaps are in excellent condition. The dust jacket will be fitted with a protective cover. From the front flap 'Detroit Across Three Centuries is more than just a coffee table-type book about a big city. It's a gripping story, honestly and entertainingly told, of generations of iconic figures and ordinary folks who helped expand a simple riverside community into a complex, sprawling and uniquely American metropolis'. Signed by Author(s).
