Book First Edition
Hardcover. 288p., mammoth heavy pictorial hardbound in glossy laminated boards, 11.5x8.5 inches, and enclosed in the ditto-pic dust jacket. Glazed alkaline paperstock, illustrated with amazing period photoillustrations and many current portraits, color and/or b&w as called-for. A wowser of a book in near-new condition, perfectly sound, clean and unmarked, while the dust jacket is slightly edgeworn, no damage whatsoever. This cataloguer haunted the Naval Postgrad School in the mid-1950s (his mother was librarian) and nothing like this was available, at least not to twelve-year-olds --although having the run of the valuable "Janes All-the-Worlds Aircraft" compendia and thousands of others.
